Week Ten Summary
As a team of two, we cut out a picture of of puppet, shot it against a green background and downloaded to computer. We then got a basketball game and cut out a clip where a hoop was made.
We then placed the green space recording over the basketball clip and saved the final product.
It was interesting watching the puppet bopping up and down in excitement along with the crowd when the team made basket.
Week Seven Summary
We worked in a group of three to create a five minute radio show that solves a problem using satirical approach that is either utopian or dystopian. The issue highlighted in the show was bullying because bullying has become a major crisis especially in middle schools.
I acted as the moderator while my two other colleagues acted as the bully, victim and friend to the victim. We recorded the audio on a phone and transferred the file to a computer where sound effects and a popular game show, Hunger game, was mixed down with the raw audio file to get a final production which was uploaded to sound cloud.
Week Five Summary
The Horse Needs Shoes
During a live session, I was a part of a 3 member group among 16 students that worked in five groups to create sounds for 30 to 40 second portions of a particular scene in Buster Keaton’s 1922 film The Blacksmith.

I’m yet to read Gardner Campell’s essay “A personal Cyber infrastructure” and watch the video of his presentation “No More Digital Facelifts”;

WOW! Got a lot of catching up to do…but catch up, I must.
This is a looped clip from a Tyler Perry movie called “Diary of a mad Black woman”. The character “Madea” is daring another person to call the Po-Po (police) after being caught in the act of vandalism.
The movie was downloaded from YouTube to MPEG Stream-clip for editing. I choose this clip because it depicts the Madea character who is known in all of Tyler Perry’s movies to have no regards for the rule of law.
This was the gif assignment for the week of February 25.
All nice and cozy on a cold and wintry February night.
The first week of CT101 was very challenging for me because I had not given much time to social media and knowing how it runs. The daily create for the first week was done at the end of the week. One of such daily create is this new invention of a bicycle with an umbrella over it in order to protect the rider from getting wet. tdc387
Another daily create was to take a picture of something broken and so I took a picture of the comb that I have had for some time. tdc391
The last daily create for this weekly summary is the clock. We were asked to take a picture of how math is affecting our world. Without math, keeping track of things would have been impossible. tdc389
Web hosting and wordpress were things from another world to me until my first week in CT101 and now I know how easy it is to actually get it done. Although, I still find difficulty hyper-linking to my post and keeping up with the daily create; I have been able to create accounts with Soundcloud, flickr, twitter and youtube.
